Romantic Sad Poem: A Love From Brooklyn

young black man portrait

As I remember

A love from Brooklyn

Each night

Thinking of him

Was all the sleep

I had ever needed

And as I would lay

Apart from him

I would call his name

With my tears

As I remember

A love from Brooklyn

I remember his words

Were my wings

The music I had danced to

And I had worn his words

As if, they were clothing

As I remember

A love from Brooklyn

I remember

He was my ultimate love

Who overshadowed

Past Lovers-

Lost…
