Love’s Boomerang

His woman loves him

But he left her

For a new one.

But the woman

He is pursuing

Loves someone else.

She loves the woman

He left behind.

When I came up with the concept of this poem, it was to show how some people think that “The grass is greener on the other side” without having the slightest clue of what they may be getting themselves into with someone new.

Nowadays, as soon as something doesn’t coincide with a person’s “relationship philosophy,” he or she is ready to walk away because the relationship requires work.

By no means, am I implying that people should remain in bad relationships. But what I am suggesting is that before leaving an overall good relationship behind, a person should evaluate how he or she might have contributed to the problems in the relationship.

In doing so, such an evaluation may save a relationship that’s worth keeping.
